The Romance of Busy Broker
The main characters of the story are Harvey Maxwell and Miss Leslie . The story starts with the hurry of Maxwell busy day where he says a quick good morning and goes to his mountain of lettters whit his expressonless face and he gets busy in them. Here Leslie is acting very veriedly roaming here and there instad going to her desk to do her work .First she asks about the new stenographer which Maxwell had told to apoint who was going to come ,but non have arrived because the people which have arrived were sent back by Maxwell because he forgot what he said . A lady, who was intriduced by Pitcher wore many ornaments was presented in front of Maxwell .Maxwell told her to go an d told Pitcher to tell the agince to send no more stenographer as he was a forgetful person. At the lunch the things got lighter and Maxwell and he got a little time for him and then he smelled a fragrance which belonged to miss Liseli . She was sitting in the next room ,twenty steps away from his cabin . He went to propose her . She acted strangely when he asked that whould she like to be his wife . Then she cried and thought that this person had came back to her only not someone other why is this person so forgrtful and made him remember that they got married last evening in little church at the corners.
