The great inspiration for unity in diversity is India's freedom fighters who fought with the British and many others when the whole nation stood together at par the differences between cast and religions. and dedicate themselves to this fight of gaining freedom for our country.
Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Mahatma Gandhi, Pt Jawaharlal Nehru, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Gopal Krishna Gokhle, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, etc. are the role models in India.

Unity in the diversity of India is justifying by the fact that people with different views on life, religion, economic, social, and political systems creating a civilized nation through their discernment and ethical behavior. India is today the significant secular country with a special character of unity in diversity. The difference in opinion, way of life, faith, and religion is its strength, not weakness. Here people can have different, even opposite perspectives on life, religion, social structure, economic growth, political system, ways of spiritual development and salvation, and at the same time belong to one country, one nation that is Bharat. It is predicting total unity and trapping without allowing unproductive and self-refuting. Unity in the diversity of thought, lifestyle, and faith is the main driving force of Indian nationalism.
