What are temples?

The temple is a juncture where four skull bones fuse together: the frontal,temporal and sphenoid. It is located on the side of the head behind the eye between the forehead and the ear. The temporal muscle covers this area and is used during mastication.

A temple (from the Latin 'templum') is astructure usually built for the purpose of, and always dedicated to, religious or spiritual activities including prayer, meditation, sacrifice and worship.
