Benjamin Franklin FRS FRSA FRSE was an American polymath and one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. Polymath means a person of wide knowledge or learning. Franklin was a leading writer, printer, political philosopher, politician, Freemason, postmaster, scientist, inventor, humorist, civic activist, statesman, and diplomat. He was born on 17th January 1706, Milk Street, Boston, Massachusetts, United States. His wife Deborah Read. He had three children William Franklin

William Franklin FRSE was an American-born attorney, soldier, politician, and colonial administrator. He was the acknowledged illegitimate son of Benjamin Franklin. William Franklin was the last colonial Governor of New Jersey, and a steadfast Loyalist throughout the American Revolutionary War. Franklin was famous for his investigations into electricity and for writing 'Poor Richard's Almanack. ' His groundbreaking discoveries in the science of electricity in the late 1740's and early 1750's catapulted him from obscure scientific amateur to status as the most famous American in the world. Franklin's fame thrust him onto an international stage and made possible his pivotal role in the American Revolution. He went on to start a successful printing business in Philadelphia and grew wealthy. At last he died on 17 April 1790 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. He was also called Ben Franklin. Franklin's last words were, “A dying man can do nothing easily.”
